Jeimer Candelario Breaks Slump With Two Hits, Homer
6 years agoDetroit Tigers third baseman Jeimer Candelario entered Wednesday's game against Cincinnati with just four hits over his last 10 games, but he busted out of that slump in a big way. Candelario went deep to the opposite field in the first inning off starting pitcher Tyler Mahle for his 11th homer of the season. He tacked on another hit and two walks as well. Candelario is now batting .252/.358/.483 on the year and has some value in 12-team leagues if he can boost his average a bit.
