3 years agoDetroit Tigers third baseman Jeimer Candelario hit fifth in the lineup four times during the team's games this past week, including for Sunday's matchup against the Chicago White Sox. This marks a bit of a change for Candelario, who has mostly hit third or second when starting this season. Batting further down the lineup and away from productive top-of-the-order hitters like Akil Baddoo and Jonathan Schoop might take some RBI opportunities away from Candelario. Still, he's getting on base enough to warrant a roster spot in deeper leagues. The third baseman is hitting .258 with a .342 on-base percentage in 310 plate appearances entering play on Sunday.
