4 years agoDetroit Tigers third baseman Jeimer Candelario (knee) left Saturday's matchup against the Cubs. The 27-year-old suffered a bruise after taking a Dan Winkler pitch to the left knee. Candelario's premature departure isn't very encouraging, primarily since he is currently in the midst of one of the most productive seasons of his career. While his injury doesn't appear to be too serious, he should be considered day-to-day, although an even longer absence hasn't been ruled out yet.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
