2 years agoMiami Marlins outfielder Jerar Encarnacion put together a great start to his MLB career. The 24-year-old was recalled on Friday with the Marlins shorthanded on outfielders. He made quite an impact by hitting a grand slam as his first career hit in the big leagues. His grand slam off right-hander Seth Lugo was enough to help the Marlins beat the New York Mets on Sunday. Encarnacion struggled at the plate in Double-A last season. It's uncertain how long he'll be up in the big leagues.
