2 years agoMiami Marlins outfielder Jerar Encarnacion was recalled from Triple-A Jacksonville on Friday. Encarnacion will take the place of Garrett Cooper (concussion) who was placed on the injured list. The 24-year-old rookie saw a short stint with the Marlins earlier in the season, going 1-for-8 with a grand slam in two games before returning to the minors. Encarnacion is considered Miami's No. 15 overall prospect according to MLB Pipeline. He is in the team's lineup on Friday, batting ninth and playing left field.--Matt T - RotoBaller
