7 years agoWashington Nationals starter Jeremy Hellickson is being stretched out in the minors for a possible call-up. The former Phillies ace was signed shortly before opening day, so he's behind the curve in terms of workload. He'll likely take the fifth starter rotation spot from A.J. Cole once he's ready. Cole is scheduled to start against the Braves on Tuesday, so the job is his to lose. Hellickson had an atrocious 2017, but in 2016 he threw to a 3.98 FIP and 1.153 WHIP. Cole is a former top prospect and injuries happen, so both are worth stashing in leagues of 12 teams or more.--Mario Hernandez - RotoBaller
