Jeremy Sprinkle Not Thriving As Starter
5 years agoWashington Redskins tight end Jeremy Sprinkle turned in another disappointing day despite standing in for injured Vernon Davis and Jordan Reed. Sprinkle saw just three targets in Sunday's victory, grabbing two of them for 24 yards. At this point, it doesn't appear to matter when or if Davis or Reed come back, because Sprinkle isn't seeing fantasy-relevant volume with or without them. Terry McLaurin is the primary pass-catching option in this offense, and there aren't a ton of targets left over after he sees his share. Sprinkle can be ignored in all formats unless you find yourself in the most desperate of circumstances at TE. And if either of his superiors on the depth chart return for Week 7, then he can just be forgotten about altogether.
