Jerick McKinnon Activated From PUP
5 years agoThe San Francisco 49ers activated running back Jerick McKinnon (knee) from the PUP on Tuesday. The move comes a few days late but McKinnon will finally be able to participate in walk-throughs after missing all of 2018 with a torn ACL. It’s uncertain when he’ll practice fully but this is undoubtedly a positive step. McKinnon will return to a crowded backfield which should feature a three-headed monster of himself, Tevin Coleman and Matt Breida. While a time share isn’t ideal, it’s probable head coach Kyle Shanahan will devise methods to complement McKinnon’s versatility alongside the other two backs. At his current RB32 rank, McKinnon is a bit rich and should be closer to Breida (RB42).
