Jerick McKinnon Officially Out For Season
5 years agoThe San Francisco 49ers placed running back Jerick McKinnon (knee) on season-ending injured reserve on Saturday. Attempting to come back from a torn ACL, McKinnon immediately suffered a setback early in training camp and will require another procedure on his ailing knee. Signed to a four-year, $30 million deal before the 2018 season, McKinnon has yet to play a snap for the Niners and will wait at least another year before returning to action. The Niners backfield will consist of a rotation between Tevin Coleman and Matt Breida, with Raheem Mostert sprinkled in. The former two runners enter Week 1 as RB3/flex options.
