Jerry Blevins Shipped Out, Lou Trivino Nearly Ready

5 years agoThe Oakland Athletics traded relief pitcher Jerry Blevins to the Atlanta Braves on Sunday for cash considerations or a player to be named later. It's a good sign that relief pitcher Lou Trivino (thumb), who has been on the 10-day injured list due to a right thumb injury, might be ready to return for the upcoming road series against the Boston Red Sox. Trivino was able to throw from a mound on Sunday. He was a solid part of Oakland's good bullpen in 2018, and he is a nice setup man in front of closer Blake Treinen, although Trivino's fantasy appeal is limited to the deepest of AL-only roto leagues using true middle relievers or specialty leagues rewarding holds.--Daniel Dobish
