Jerry Jeudy Has A High-Ankle Sprain
3 years agoUpdating an earlier report, Denver Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy (ankle) sustained a high ankle sprain during the Week 1 matchup against the New York Giants. The sophomore wideout had to be carted off the field, and while any injury is unwelcome, the diagnosis means that he will likely return at some point this season. However, an ailment of this nature usually takes time to heal, so Jeudy could be out of the lineup for at least a few weeks moving ahead, if not more. Despite leaving early, the second-year pass-catcher was second on the team in targets (seven) and tied for the team lead in receptions (six) for 72 yards. Jeudy needs to be stashed in all formats as the team's No. 2 target when healthy. In his absence, Tim Patrick and KJ Hamler become much more attractive in deeper leagues. Patrick might have the safer floor in PPR leagues, but Hamler has more weekly upside as a speedy deep threat.
