3 years agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Jesse Winker is in left field and batting leadoff for the second straight game on Wednesday against Oakland Athletics right-hander Paul Blackburn. Winker went 2-for-5 with two runs scored in the leadoff spot on Tuesday, and he's been better in May with a .258/.295/.382 slash line, two home runs, 10 RBI and eight runs scored in 23 games for Seattle. His overall line of .219/.310/.300 with two homers and 16 RBI isn't anything to write home about, but if Winker continues to swing the bat well, he could continue to hit leadoff for the M's against right-handed pitchers.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
