4 years agoCincinnati Reds outfielder Jesse Winker departed Saturday’s contest against Milwaukee after having been hit in the right elbow by a pitch. Travis Jankowski entered the game to take his place in the outfield, while also serving as a candidate to see increased playing time should Winker’s absence last beyond Saturday. After having reached base on the hit by pitch, Winker's on-base percentage in 2020 sits at .378. While not involved in a true platoon, Cincinnati has been reticent to start Winker against southpaws this season, as he has struck out five times in six at-bats. His next chance to get back on the field comes Sunday against Brewers ace Brandon Woodruff, which figures to be a tough matchup, making him an avoidable DFS commodity even should he return.--Jesse Borek
