Jesse Winker Gets Untracked Against Marlins
6 years agoCincinnati Reds outfielder Jesse Winker went 2-for-5 with a solo homer, two runs, and three RBI in a 14-0 blowout win over the Miami Marlins on Tuesday. Winker, who came into the game with just one hit in his first 24 at-bats, finally came to life in the big win. Despite the painfully slow start, the Cincinnati leadoff batter is a much better hitter than he has shown over the first two weeks of the season. Winker's fantasy owners need to stay patient with the young outfielder as he has the chance to put up a big season hitting atop the Cincinnati lineup. He will look to stay hot against Miami right-hander Trevor Richards on Wednesday.
