Jesse Winker Leaves Saturday's Game With Illness
4 years agoCincinnati Reds outfielder Jesse Winker left Saturday's 9-6 win over the St. Louis Cardinals with an illness. Winker went 1-for-4 with a run scored before leaving the game. According to manager David Bell, Winker "wasn't feeling great" and was replaced in the game by Nick Senzel. Winker should be able to return in the near future, provided he doesn't get diagnosed with COVID-19. More notably, Senzel saw game action after leaving Thursday's game with a shoulder injury. His ability to take over for Winker indicates that he should be able to return to the starting lineup in the next day or so.
