Jesse Winker Reaggravates Intercostal Strain
3 years agoCincinnati Reds outfielder Jesse Winker (side) exited Sunday's game after reaggravating his intercostal strain, according to Bobby Nightengale of the Cincinnati Enquirer. Winker had been replaced on defense in the bottom of the third inning of Sunday's contest, as according to manager David Bell, Winker felt something "right at the end of the last swing he took," and now he'll undergo examinations again on Monday. Winker had been scratched from Friday's lineup with what was originally reported as back tightness, but now it appears it was this issue with his intercostal. Managers should consider him day-to-day for now, and check for updates on his condition on Monday.
