7 years agoMilwaukee Brewers first baseman Jesus Aguilar went 3-for-5 with two runs, three RBI and two doubles in the 12-3 win over the Miami Marlins. The Brewers have been using Aguilar off the bench, and considering his splits against left-handed batters, they decided to give him the go ahead. Coming into this game, Aguilar was 5-for-11 this season against left-handed pitchers with a 1.327 OPS. Despite this great night, though, he won't necessarily get that much playing time behind Eric Thames and Ryan Braun on the depth chart at first base. However, they may consider platooning him against lefties instead of Braun. This game now brings Aguilar up to a .414 batting average and a 1.037 OPS in 29 at-bats this year.--Caden Inaba
