Jesus Aguilar Walks It Off On Wednesday
3 years agoMiami Marlins first baseman Jesus Aguilar had a big day at the dish, going 2-for-4 with a double, a home run, four RBI, and a strikeout in a 9-6 win over the Dodgers on Wednesday. He picked up his first hit, an RBI double, in the bottom of the third inning. He would have plated two runs on the two-bagger but Garrett Cooper was thrown at home attempting to score. He then played the hero in the bottom of the ninth inning when he broke up a 6-6 tie with a three-run, walk-off homer. After hitting just three home runs in June, Aguilar has two long balls in the last four games. For the season, he's slashing .268/.326/.468 with 14 home runs, 58 RBI, and 28 runs scored. He'll continue to be a solid fantasy first baseman in the second half.
