4 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Jesus Luzardo allowed three earned runs in 6 2/3 innings pitched with eight strikeouts, but took the loss Sunday at the Orioles. Luzardo was plagued by Austin Hays who took Luzardo deep twice in the contest. The 23-year-old lefty got off to a rough start this season but has now put up back-to-back solid starts for fantasy managers. In his last two starts, Luzardo has allowed just three runs with 14 strikeouts and three walks. More importantly, he's earning swinging strikes again with a 23 percent SwStr% in his last start and a 16 percent rate today at Baltimore.
