4 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Jesus Luzardo (illness) has not been cleared to join team workouts after testing positive for COVID-19 last week. Luzardo must provide two negative tests 24-hours apart in order to be taken off the COVID-19 Injured List. Manager Bob Melvin expressed concern the hard-throwing lefty may not be ready for Opening Day on July 23. Luzardo was one of the biggest risers in average draft position due to the shortened season, but for now, it'll be hard to draft Luzardo in the first 150 picks given the uncertainty of when he'll pitch and how long it'll take to build up arm strength.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
