3 years agoMiami Marlins rookie starting pitcher Jesus Luzardo wrapped up his season with a strong start on Saturday, striking out 11 Phillies hitters in 5 1/3 innings of work. He allowed just one run on six hits without allowing a walk or a home run. While the 11 strikeouts, a career high, were certainly encouraging, perhaps more encouraging was the fact that Luzardo did not allow a home run or a walk, both things that have plagued him throughout the 2021 season. The young lefty has plenty of upside heading into next season, which will be his first full year as a Marlin.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
