4 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Jesus Luzardo has tested positive for COVID-19, according to Susan Slusser. Luzardo had been absent from A's camp and will be gone for 14 more days of self-isolation, per MLB safety protocol. The flame-throwing lefty is one of the top pitching prospects in all of baseball and was supposed to hold down a rotation spot for Oakland this season. It's unknown if the young left-handed prospect will be ready for the start of the season, but if he is, the A's could be conservative with him out of the gates. Luzardo was one of the biggest risers in average draft position due to the shortened season, with his ADP climbing up to 113th overall. He's a bit more risky at that cost now, but he should still be a top-150 overall pick if he tests negative after isolating.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
