5 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Jesus Luzardo has been working out with fellow starter Mike Fiers and a trainer in Florida while the season is delayed. Luzardo said they have been working out in an open field to play catch, and they have a portable mound to throw bullpen sessions. As if Luzardo didn't come with enough hype, the top-prospect was dominating in Spring Training before the season was suspended. In three starts, the left-hander struck out 16 batters in 12 innings with a 0.67 WHIP while sporting a 98-plus MPH fastball. Luzardo has enormous potential, but his average draft position is also climbing as he's up to 119th overall.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
