Jets Defense Loses Bless Austin To Injured Reserve
4 years agoNew York Jets cornerback Bless Austin (neck) was placed on injured reserve Saturday, meaning he will miss at least the team's next three games. Austin had been questionable to play Sunday versus the Chargers, but the team ultimately decided to shut him down. Austin combined for 43 tackles, three passes defended, and one forced fumble across his first eight games of the year. The Jets Defense, particularly in the secondary, will be in shambles for Sunday's game, making the unit a must-avoid in all season-long and DFS scenarios. Facing Justin Herbert, who has amassed passing yards in droves since becoming L.A.'s starting QB, the Jets have just five healthy cornerbacks in Bryce Hall, Arthur Maulet, Lamar Jackson, Javelin Guidry, and Corey Ballentine for the contest.
