Jets Plan To Fulfill Denzel Mims’ Trade Request
2 years agoNew York Jets wide receiver Denzel Mims asked to be dealt via a statement released by his agent Thursday, and the team will reportedly attempt to fulfill that request, so long as they get a return they deem acceptable, per Connor Hughes of SNY. Mims, a second-round Draft choice from 2020, finds himself on the outside looking in as it pertains to the Jets' wide receiving corps, which is set to feature Elijah Moore, Corey Davis and Garrett Wilson, among others. Mims appeared in 11 games (three starts) last season and compiled just eight receptions for 133 yards. A trade would unquestionably boost the 24-year-old's value, as his current role in New York, combined with Joe Flacco's likely presence under center against a stout Ravens defense in Week 1, makes him an undesirable fantasy commodity for the time being.
