3 years agoThe New York Jets have re-signed exclusive-rights free-agent wide receiver Jeff Smith, cornerback Javelin Guidry, safety Elijah Riley and defensive lineman Tim Ward. Smith has spent all three of his NFL seasons with the Jets, compiling 26 receptions for 292 yards and no touchdowns on 56 targets in 25 total games (seven starts) in that span. He had just eight catches on 17 targets for 113 yards in 12 games (three starts) for the Jets last season. However, he did see an increased role on special teams as a gunner on kickoffs and punts. Smith will return to Gang Green for a fourth season, but he's well off the fantasy radar as primarily a special teams player.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
