Jets Sign Greg Zuerlein
3 years agoThe New York Jets signed free-agent kicker Greg Zuerlein to an undisclosed deal on Saturday. Zuerlein spent the last two seasons kicking for the Dallas Cowboys, and he connected on 63 of his 76 field-goal attempts (82.9%) over 32 games in that two-year span. The 34-year-old, who is often called Greg the Leg, was initially a sixth-round pick by the Los Angeles Rams in 2012 out of Missouri Western State. He's made 82.2% of his kicks in 151 career regular season games over 10 NFL seasons with the Rams and Cowboys. Zuerlein was a Pro Bowler and first-team All-Pro in 2017 and should have a pretty decent shot at unseating Eddie Pineiro as the primary placekicker for New York in 2022, but he'll lose plenty of fantasy appeal with the move from Dallas to the Jets.
