7 years agoSources say that the New York Jets are willing to pay whatever it takes to land Washington Redskins impending free-agent quarterback Kirk Cousins unless the 'Skins tag him for a third time, which is highly unlikely. The Jets will have to convince Cousins that he'll have a chance to win in New York. If they can't lure Cousins in, there's a chance that they re-sign veteran Josh McCown as a stopgap option under center. The Jets have around $70 million available in salary cap, so money won't be a problem in trying to entice Cousins to play for them. Cousins had plenty of weapons the last two years in Washington, but that wouldn't be the case in New York.
