7 years agoNew York Mets closer Jeurys Familia is back with the team after he missed Sunday’s game in San Diego to attend memorial services for his father-in-law. It sounds as if Familia will be available for any potential save chances on Tuesday in the Mets series opener against the Atlanta Braves. Familia has struggled a bit as of late, allowing at least one run in two of his last four appearances, but it should be noted that in each outing he came into very dicey situations to begin with. He still sits with a sparkling 1.80 ERA and 1.07 WHIP across 15 innings pitched with 18 strikeouts against six walks.--John Smith
