7 years agoNew York Mets closer Jeurys Familia picked up his 13th save of the season on Monday in a 2-0 win over the Marlins. Familia gave up a double with no walks and a strikeout in the ninth inning. Familia is currently tied for the fourth most saves in baseball and has posted a stellar 1.64 ERA with 27 strikeouts and only seven walks in 22 innings of work. He should remain a high-end closing option throughout the season if he can continue to post similar numbers, especially if the Mets remain competitive.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
