Jeurys Familia Picks Up Seventh Save
7 years agoBetween New York Mets manager Mickey Callaway saying the team wouldn’t have a set closer and the uncertainty surrounding what type of production incumbent closer Jeurys Familia would provide after a serious injury, Familia’s fantasy stock was trending way down heading into 2018. So far, all those concerns are proving to be way overblown. Familia has been the unquestioned closer in the early going, and looking great while doing it. The Mets have played 12 games, and Familia has picked up a save in seven of them after notching his latest on Friday against the Milwaukee Brewers. Across nine innings pitched this year, Familia still has a 0.00 ERA to go along with a 0.78 WHIP and 11:3 K:BB. Familia is once again a top closer option for fantasy purposes.
