Jhoulys Chacin Pitches For Quality Start, Looks To Be Improving
7 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Jhoulys Chacin went six innings, giving up three hits, one run, and two walks while striking out four in the 5-3 win over the Milwaukee Brewers. Chacin was given the no-decision as Josh Hader blew his first save of the year, however, he was rewarded with the quality start for his efforts in the game. Chacin has had large issues with control this year as has been given up more hits than innings pitched so far, but as of late he has been much better. In his last four starts, two of them have been quality starts, and one of them would've been a quality start if he got one more out. He now holds a 2-1 record with a 4.08 ERA and 24 strikeouts in 39 2/3 innings pitched and should only be used for desperate streaming purposes.
