6 years agoTampa Bay Rays first baseman Ji-Man Choi hit his sixth homer Friday off of Rick Porcello at Fenway Park to start the scoring in the Rays win. It wasn't long ago that Rays fans and media were calling for Nate Lowe to be brought back up to insert the power that Choi wasn't showing. He's hit a solid .302 with four home runs in the last month and is fighting off a Nate Lowe return. The power still hasn't been what the team or fantasy owners expect out of a corner infielder but his consistent hitting should keep him in the lineup. He'll likely stay at the five spot or lower. He's a streamer at best against righties who he's hit .294/.368/.497 against this year--Zach Alexander
