4 years agoTampa Bay Rays first baseman Ji-Man Choi (hamstring) and third baseman Yandy Diaz (hamstring) both participated in batting practice Monday as they work their way back to the active roster. Assuming that both feel strong Tuesday, they could progress to a live batting practice soon. Without either in the mix, Nate Lowe has been one of multiple Rays to step into a larger offensive role. Choi and Diaz helped make up two cogs in the center of the team’s order, with a return likely not far off, even if it doesn’t come until the postseason.
