Jimmie Johnson Ends Up Third In Coke Zero Sugar 400
5 years agoHendrick Motorsports driver Jimmie Johnson ended up finishing third in the weather-shortened Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona International Speedway on Sunday. He did not lead any laps, but he was able to secure 38 valuable points as he enhances his bid for one of the at-large spots in the 16-car Chase field. His win drought now dates back to June 4, 2017 at Dover, a span of 76 consecutive points races. Next up is a race at Kentucky next Saturday. He has never won in eight trips to Kentucky, posting one top-5 finish, five top-10 showings and an Average-Finish Position of 15.4.
