Jimmie Johnson Posts Top-5 Finish At Chicagoland
5 years agoHendrick Motorsports driver Jimmie Johnson led 10 laps in Sunday's Camping World 400 at Chicagoland Speedway, but he had to settle for fourth place while watching his teammate, Alex Bowman, race away with the checkered flag. It was still a solid showing for Johnson, who was under the cut line for the Top 16 in the race for the Chase. The seven-time series champ still has work to do, and his win drought dating back to June 2017 at Dover continues. It's on to Daytona next week where J.J. has three wins and 11 top-5 showings in 35 career starts with an 18.3 Average-Finish Position and 10 DNFs.
