3 years agoSan Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo expects his future to clear up in the "days" ahead after speaking with general manager John Lynch on potential trade destinations on Monday. "I want to go to a place where they want to win," Garoppolo said. Interested teams may want to wait to see how surgery goes on Garoppolo's right thumb, but the 30-year-old is expected to be recovered well in time for the start of the 2022 season. The Niners will move on from Jimmy G this offseason, as they plan to let first-rounder Trey Lance start in 2022 and beyond. Garoppolo missed a bunch of games in his time with the 49ers due to injury, but he was one game away from leading them to a second Super Bowl in the last three years. More of a game manager in real life, Garoppolo is unlikely to merit anything more than QB2 consideration in fantasy, but his upside will depend on where he lands.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
