2 years agoSan Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo (shoulder) practiced with the team on Thursday for the first time all summer. The Niners kept Garoppolo away from the team all summer because they were prepared to trade him all along and didn't want to create any distractions at training camp. Garoppolo was also rehabbing on his own from offseason shoulder surgery in March. The 30-year-old is returning on a restructured one-year deal to be Trey Lance's back, though, so he has rejoined the team as Week 1 of the regular season quickly approaches. There's a chance that Jimmy G is trade midseason, but until that possibility arises, he'll serve as the backup to Lance, leaving him with basically no fantasy value.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
