2 years agoThe San Francisco 49ers officially gave quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo's (shoulder) agents Don Yee and Carter Chow permission to seek a trade on Wednesday, according to sources. Garoppolo has been cleared to start practicing, but the Niners are expected to exercise caution with him this summer at training camp. The 30-year-old had offseason shoulder surgery on his right arm, but he's been throwing for weeks and is hoping to get back on the field by mid-August. San Francisco had planned to trade Jimmy G all along as they transition to Trey Lance as the starter in 2022. The Seattle Seahawks, Cleveland Browns and Houston Texans are the most likely destinations for Garoppolo, with both Seattle and Cleveland being intriguing options.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
