5 years agoSan Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo completed 18 of 22 passes for 175 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in Week 8’s blowout of the Carolina Panthers. He also absorbed three sacks including a safety. Garoppolo opened the scoring with a 4-yard dart to wideout Emmanuel Sanders in the first quarter, then found running back Tevin Coleman for a 10-yard touchdown in the second quarter. He wasn’t tasked with much else as the Niners manhandled the overmatched Panthers 51-13. Garoppolo has been uneven this season, committing his ninth turnover on Sunday, but the team keeps winning. With the undefeated Niners racking up 232 rushing yards in Week 8, Garoppolo will continue wearing the game manager tag in Week 9 against the Arizona Cardinals.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
