7 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Jimmy Nelson (shoulder) was cleared to start throwing breaking pitches after visiting with Dr. Neal ElAttrache on Monday. Nelson has been throwing off a mound but has yet to progress to throwing in game-like situations. The right-hander has yet to pitch in a game this year but could return to the team sometime in August. He had a career year in 2017 before being injured late in the year, going 12-6 with a 3.49 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 10.2 K/9. Those in mixed leagues will likely want to see how he looks upon his return before picking him up.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
