Jimmy Nelson Pitches In Extended Spring Training Game
6 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Jimmy Nelson (shoulder) appeared in an extended spring training game on Tuesday. Manager Craig Counsell was positive about the outing and said that Nelson will have one more outing in extended camp before being assigned to Triple-A for a rehab assignment. The 29-year-old missed all of 2018 after having surgery on his throwing shoulder. In his last full season in 2017, Nelson went 12-6 with a 3.49 ERA for the Brewers. The right-hander could push back into the Brewers rotation with more solid showings, but for now he will likely rejoin the team somewhere near the end of April or early May.
