Joc Pederson Continues Strong Spring
4 years agoChicago Cubs outfielder Joc Pederson continued his hot performance in the Cactus League by going 1-for-2 with two RBI and hitting his eighth home run of the spring on Sunday. The Cubs having an everyday opening in left field played a big part of Pederson coming over from the Dodgers and he has not disappointed thus far for his new club. Spring training numbers can typically be taken with a grain of a salt, especially with veterans, but one has to respect the eye-popping numbers of Pederson this offseason. The lefty is now hitting .372 with 11 extra-base hits and 17 RBI. Pederson traditionally sat out again left-handed pitchers with the Dodgers, but in Chicago will have every opportunity to be an everyday player. Pederson may not help but in the batting average category, but he certainly will be a nice source of power late in the draft for managers.
