Joc Pederson Continues To Struggle
4 years agoChicago Cubs outfielder Joc Pederson continued his cold start to the season Saturday versus the Atlanta Braves. The Cubs offense went off in a 13-4 victory, but Pederson went 0-for-2 with two walks, a hit by pitch and two runs scored. Pederson was also the only member of the Cubs starting lineup to not record a hit on the afternoon. The slugger had eight home runs this spring, but has really struggled to get in a groove during the regular season. Pederson is now hitting a weak .114 with a .427 OPS, one home run and four RBI. Managers should feel safe cutting Pederson loose until he starts to show some signs of life.
