Joc Pederson Gets Monday Off
4 years agoChicago Cubs outfielder Joc Pederson will have his first day off of the season on Monday versus the Milwaukee Brewers. Pederson hit eight home runs in the spring, but has been hitless in 10 at-bats with five strikeouts so far. The slugger came over to the Cubs with the promise that he'd be able to start against lefties, but manager David Ross is likely hoping that after a slow start and lefty Brett Anderson on the mound, Pederson can clear his mind. Managers should still expect that Pederson will get at-bats versus lefties in the future. With Pederson out of the lineup, Jake Marisnick will enter the lineup and bat seventh. Marisnick is nothing more than a dart throw in DFS on Monday.
