3 years agoChicago Cubs outfielder Joc Pederson 2-for-4 with a walk, run, two doubles and three RBI in Friday's victory versus the St. Louis Cardinals. Pederson cleared the bases in the bottom of the first inning and then he would hit his second double in the bottom of the eighth inning with no one on base. Pederson had a rough month of June with a .211 batting average, but he now has six hits in his last 16 at-bats. Pederson got a rare start versus a lefty on Friday, but managers should be aware that manager David Ross tends to rest the slugger against southpaws. Pederson remains a good source of power for managers that can deal with the dismal batting average. He is now hitting .230 with 11 home runs, 39 RBI and two stolen bases.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
