Joe Biagini Has Solid 2018 Debut
7 years agoToronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Joe Biagini made his season debut in the big leagues on Tuesday night, and all in all it was a solid effort. Biagini fell one out shy of a quality start, allowing three earned runs on six hits and three walks across 5 2/3 innings against the Kansas City Royals. He struck out four on the evening. Biagini is sure to be sent back to the minors, as he was only making a spot start in the Jays doubleheader, but chances are we’ll see him again soon. He’s a talented arm that converted into a starter from a reliever, and he has shown impressive flashes previously. He’s worth keeping an eye on.
