Joe Flacco Likely To Start In Week 2
2 years agoNew York Jets head coach Robert Saleh said it's "more than likely going to be Joe" for the Week 2 game against the Cleveland Browns, although the quarterback position is always under review. Veteran Joe Flacco completed 37 of his whopping 59 pass attempts for 307 yards, a touchdown and an interception in the Week 1 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Second-year signal-caller Zach Wilson continues to rehab from a knee injury, and he's unlikely to be ready for Week 2. The Jets could very well find themselves in negative game script against the Browns this weekend, but fantasy managers can't rely on that much volume again from the 37-year-old Flacco. He'll once again check in as a low-end, desperation QB2 in superflex leagues if he makes another start.
