Joe Flacco Will Miss Monday’s Preseason Outing
2 years agoNew York Jets quarterback Joe Flacco (rest) will be held out of Monday's preseason game against the Falcons out of an abundance of caution. With Zach Wilson (knee) already on the shelf, New York will opt to play it safe with their veteran signal caller, who is currently penciled in to start Week 1 of the regular season vs. Baltimore. No Flacco means that signal callers Mike White and Chris Streveler should see all the reps they can handle in the nationally televised contest. Despite having added motivation in playing against his former franchise, Flacco faces an uphill battle to fantasy viability by the time the regular season comes around; he has completed just 57.4% of his passes over his past two years with the Jets and is facing a stout Ravens defense. Much of N.Y.'s offense will presumably be on ice in DFS contests until Wilson can return to action.
