3 years agoChicago White Sox relief pitcher Joe Kelly picked up his first save of the season in Monday's 8-7 win over the Blue Jays. Kelly came in to pitch the ninth inning up by three. He struck the first hitter out, but then allowed a single and a two-run home run before getting the final two outs on ground outs. It was the White Sox's first save opportunity since closer Liam Hendriks (forearm) was placed on the injured list, and it is interesting that Kendall Graveman pitched the eighth inning. Despite Kelly getting the first crack, Graveman appears to be the short-term arm to roster for fantasy managers, as his 2.43 ERA and history of closer experience seems to outweigh Kelly's 9.39 ERA.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
